What We Do For Love

Kristie’s Place will be the first end-of-life care facility in Southern California. Kristie’s Place will give parents of dying children an option. Most parents do not want their child to die in a hospital but bringing them home creates challenges and often is not possible.

At Kristie’s Place help children live fully and find comfort in their final days. Our focus will be on life and helping families make the most of every moment.

Kristie's Place will have family size suites, fireside room, gardens, a game room, petting zoo, ice cream parlor and will provide a place for the family to be together through a difficult time.

Kristie’s Place will be used as a:

• End of Life Care: Some families want to leave the hospital but do not want their child to die at home.
• Bridge: Some families decide that ultimately they want to take their child home but need extra help to transition from hospital to home.
• Respite: Families can get some needed help and rest during difficult days of caring for their critically ill child.

At Kristie’s Place we will focus on life and helping families make the most of every moment. Specialists in pain and symptom management will use their expertise to ensure that children do not suffer.
